with the untimely death of Casey Heaton. Casey’s contributions to BNC
were legion, but more importantly we lost a very good friend. Several things
are underway to honor Casey’s memory.</span></font></p>

This will include a time when Casey’s friends may honor him with an
anecdote or personal reminiscence in an open-microphone format. This will be
followed by a reception at Casey’s fraternity on <st1:Street w:st="on"><st1:address
w:st="on">Saratoga Avenue</st1:address></st1:Street> in <st1:City w:st="on"><st1:place

w:st="on">Melissa Lane</st1:address></st1:Street> at the BNC lobby. The money
collected will be used to upgrade the AXIC PECVD system in the BNC cleanroom.
Casey was instrumental in the final design of this system, and it was his
favorite piece of equipment in the facility. Following the upgrade, the system
will be named in Casey’s honor and an appropriate plaque will be placed
at the window of the bay where the AXIC is located.</span></font></p>
