Adnan Rajib, a PhD Candidate working with Dr. Venkatesh Merwade in the Lyles School of Civil Engineering, has been named as recipient of the 2016 Bilsland Dissertation Fellowship Award.

The fellowship, awarded by the College of Education, recognizes an outstanding PhD candidate for the superior scholarly achievements and excellence in research.

Adnan enjoys working on multi-disciplinary problems involving large-scale computational hydrology, hydroinformatics, satellite remote sensing, and decision support systems for natural hazards. The title of Adnan's PhD dissertation is "Improved Soil Moisture Accounting in Hydrologic Models."
