The American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) has announced Lyles School of Civil Engineering undergraduate student Trevor Moore as the top 2019 New Face of Civil Engineering in the College category. The 2019 honorees are rising stars, inspired and inspiring, many of them drawn to the profession by a desire to help others and protect the planet.

Moore discovered his passion for inventing, fixing and construction at a young age. Today, he is pursuing an education and career in civil engineering. At Purdue, he was vice president of the ASCE Student Chapter and vice chairman for the chapter’s Bridge Bust competition. Through ASCE, he attended competitions with other Student Chapters, a Multi-Regional Professional Development Seminar and national ASCE meetings. He also served as a Civil Engineering Ambassador and a member of the Civil Engineering Recruitment Committee at Purdue. He furthered his education outside of the classroom with his internships at Lane Construction Corporation and Michael Baker International.
