Civil Engineering Open House
Where Will Civil Engineering Take You? Discover answers during the Lyles School of Civil Engineering Open House on September 18, 2015, from 2-8 p.m. in Hampton Hall of Civil Engineering (HAMP). Events will include information sessions; tours of Hampton Hall research/teaching space, Bowen Lab for Large-Scale CE Research and the Center for High Performance Buildings; seminars by faculty, alums and students; free food and refreshments; hands-on projects; and much more. Faculty, students, advisers and other staff will be on hand to answer your questions and help you see how, as civil engineers, Together, We Build.

1:30 – Featured Speaker - Professor Emeritus Milton Harr: A Career in Civil Engineering (Press Release)
2:00 – Open House begins:

3:00 – Civil Engineering Shop Talks – hear from a variety of students, faculty, alums and representatives from industry (until 3:30)
3:30 – Shuttles return from Bowen Lab and CHPB
4:00 – Transportation to Bowen Lab for Large-Scale Civil Engineering Research and the Center for High Performance Buildings (CHPB)
4:30 – Civil Engineering Shop Talks – hear from a variety of students, faculty, alums and representatives from industry (until 6:00)
5:00 – Shuttles return from Bowen Lab and CHPB
5:30 – Dinner Served
7:00 – "Ask the Experts" Panel Discussion
8:00 – Open House Ends
NOTE: Lab tours will require long pants and close-toed shoes.
